Academy Conversion Update
With effect from 1st January 2017 Mereside Primary School has converted to academy status as part of Fylde Coast Academy Trust.
This is an exciting time for us as we move forward in partnership with some of the most successful schools in the area. Mereside School is now well placed to build on the good work we have done so far, and provide the best education possible for your children, now and into the future.
You can read more in this article which has appeared in the Blackpool Gazette - Becoming part of Fylde Coast Academy Trust
As parents will be aware, Blackpool Council provide free milk for all primary-aged pupils in Blackpool schools. They have recently made a decision to switch to fluoridated milk; you can read more information about this decision HERE .
The switch will take place after the October half-term break. Parents will have the choice to receive the fluoridated milk for their child or continue with regular milk, or opt out altogether. We will be sending out letters in the coming weeks.
