We read a story called ‘A Brave Bear’ which led to a chat about what real bears can do.
We found some deer to go with our story, and soon learned that Daddy Deer was a stag, Mummy Deer was a doe and a Baby Deer was a fawn.
And then…. one of the children asked what a Daddy Bear was called? Google came into good use!
A Daddy Bear is a boar, and a Mummy Bear is a sow, and we already knew a Baby Bear was a cub!
What a lot of new words we have learned this week.
