Hello, my name is Fudge.

Mereside Primary Academy have asked me to be their school therapy dog and support the children in a variety of ways. I support the pupils in reading interventions; pupil’s social and emotional well-being; working with the SEND team; supporting in Core and Galaxy; supporting attendance initiatives; joining in with extra-curricular activities and most importantly being part of the family.

To fulfil my role, I have worked closely with KRRs under the standards of “The School Therapy Dog Association.” You can look at their web site http://www.schooltherapydog.com/ and see for yourself the high standards that myself, the children and the staff will have to meet. I have attended training classes and my trainer visited me at school to make sure that I was happy and doing a good job. I passed all my qualifications in 2019.

Since then, I continue to practice what I have learnt every day.

I love being in school, and look forward to seeing all the children in school every single day.

Woof, woof, woof-woof.... woof!
